Orthophotos and base maps
An orthophoto overlays the map exactly and can be measured on. As the newest GIS layer it reduces site visits for unauthorised building checks, infrastructure planning and public requests. Base maps drawn from the orthophoto and point cloud follow the applicable drafting standards, with details hidden in the imagery completed on site by GNSS.
GIS data and other surveys
Drawings can be delivered as layered vector data (SHP, GeoPackage) matched to the municipality's data model. Landfill volume tracking, park and open space topography, road corridor surveys and as-builts are other recurring needs.

How does a drone orthophoto differ from satellite imagery?
It has centimetre-level resolution and its accuracy is measured against ground control. Satellite imagery covers more area but is limited in resolution and currency.
